Mrs. Hem Monny is a board member of CAPE and a former chairperson of Ponhea Krek district, Tbong Khmum province.
She left Phnom Penh for a remote village in Kampong Cham province during the Pol Pot regime. In 1981, she became a teacher after passing a training course. Later, she was the principal and series director, having been involved in building and developing schools to improve the quality of education with CAPE since 2003.
As the gender system flourished, the provincial general assembly elected her as a member of the CAPE Board of Education.
After retiring, she involved in
- Educate and disseminate CAPE policy projects to inspire the participation of community
- Participate in commune development planning (contribution, gender equality ... etc.)
