School Feeding Program (SFP)

KAPE worked with the World Food Program and the Provincial Office of Education to provide monitoring and capacity-building support to schools in food insecure areas in Kampong Cham Province.

The project had two components: School Feeding Program (SFP), which provides hot breakfasts in primary schools and the Take-home Ration Program (THR), which was active in 616 schools. Children in the THR program were targeted through ID Poor Cards provided to the most vulnerable families by local governments.

Both programs created incentives to keep children in school and increased school efficiency by reducing morning hunger and increasing student concentration.
