Study Tour at Schools in Buriram, Thailand
Date : 2024-07-04The New Generation School Initiative (NGS) hosted its study tour to Lamplaimat Pattana School, Nang Rang Secondary School and Princess Chulaphon Science High School, Buriram province, Thailand, started from 1 to 6 July 2024. A total of 134 educational delegates from all New Generation Schools, including KAPE staff attended the visit.
The study tour aimed to provide valuable insights into new educational models and inspired a sense of innovation or innovation to enhance students' teaching and learning methods, especially STEM learning in order to keep pace in the digital age.
The delegates gained much useful knowledge related to education, such as play-based learning methods, project-based learning methods, problem-based learning methods, modeling schools, innovative or multidisciplinary approaches, innovative teaching, and capacity building for students with a focus on fun learning and well-being, innovative teaching methods, full development, openness and inclusion, integration of social and emotional learning, community focus, learning in a natural ecological environment, focus on STEM, learning and living environment with full support, innovation teaching, global cooperation, cultural development, collaboration and global innovation, global citizens with 21st century skills, patriotism and cultural identity, responsibility on environment, scholarships and health and wellness services.
During the visit, a signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between KAPE and the Provincial Office of Education of Buriram Province, Thailand was held to strengthen cooperation and build international partnerships. The six directors of New Generation Schools also signed a memorandum of understanding. The delegation had learned good knowledge and experiences for developing teaching and learning for students to respond to digital learning in the 21st century.
