Learning Visit from the Members of National Parliament

On 19 January 2016, KAPE held a warm reception for the members of the Cambodian National Parliament to conduct the learning visit to New Generation School/Aknuwat Demonstration, which supported by Beacon School Initiative (BSI) project funded by various donors including the Oaktree Foundation/Flight Center, Chinese Association, Breteau Founation, Private Donor, Apple Corporation, USAID and cooperated with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport aiming to help government solve the education reformation in Cambodia.

With happy smiles seeing the New Generation School innovative including school infrastructure, curriculum, teaching and learning aids, etc., H.E. Yem Ponhearith, the member of the Cambodian National Parliament with his delegates, said, “New Generation School (NGS) or Aknuwat Demonstration School is a new way to correct the educational system of Cambodia by returning the educational system of a minimum standard into the education system of a maximum standard, which ensures the quality study and produces the best human resources in this 21^st century.”He continued, “This is a joint initiative of the New Generation School,which is an educational system collaborated by the state party, NGO partnered KAPE and other parents with the local resources to transform the educational system, which has a low standard to an educational system that has high standards shortly, rapidly, especially in a case that the government lack of means to reform the educational system to make high-quality short-term. This system is to help the government achieve national education goal rapidly in a short-term responding to market needs. In addition, the school environment and education are closely attractive, smart and catch up the economic integration in the Asian region and the world.”

So this visit was giving KAPE more motivation to work hard with various partners and government to improve the basic education in Cambodia. This good school system is never happened unless all of you support us.
