IBEC gives disable students with opportunity in education
Date : 2013-05-09Improved Basic Education in Cambodia (IBEC) Project, which is being implemented by KAPE, gives the scholarship materials to the disabled student in Kampong Cham province. Veasna, the disabled student, whose parents divorced since he was young, lives with her grandmother and aunt in a village in Batheay district. He studied Grade 9 in the academic year 2012-2013. IBEC provides him with school uniforms stationary especially a stipend of 20$/month to help keep him in school.
Veasna said that he was very happy to have supported from KAPE to continue his education. "I have to commit to study for my life goal and bring my grandmother and aunt the hope. I acknowledge USAID who helps me and other poor students through KAPE," he expressed his deep feeling as he wore his artificial right leg.
