BSI Gives 91 Poor Students the Scholarship Materials
Date : 2014-12-17KAPE provides scholarship materials to 91 poor students on 16 December 2014 at Aknuwat secondary school in Kampong Cham province through the Beacon School Initiative (BSI) which is supported by AokTree Foundation Australia in aiming to promote the poor students to have possibilities to continue their studies.~ The scholarship materials which are provided to each of the 91 students including 15 notebooks, 7 pens and 2 sets of school uniforms per year in the academic year 2014-2015. This scholarship ceremony is attended by 75% of the students' parents and governors, school teachers and director, school support committees and BSI Senior Program Officer.
The scholarship students who receive their scholarship materials today have transparently and strictly been selected by the cooperation of the school, Beacon School Initiative, local authorities and 3rd rank commune members. The scholarship students are regularly followed up especially they are monitored and evaluated for two times per year to find out the weak and strength and self-improvement.
Today, all students' parents and governors are so excited and pleased to see their children getting improved, changing their attitudes and behavours. Nevertheless, they do want BSI to continuously support other poor Cambodian students to continue their studies as well as their children do.
